In “Feng Shui,” the just-released episode from The Golden Life film series, The House Club’s Master Zhi Wang — named ‘Person of the Year’ by Chinese Network and Magazine in 2014 — tours One Coast’s Townhome 303 and assesses the home’s good energy based on ancient Chinese design principles.

For example, Townhome 303’s sprawling rooftop terrace is perfectly oriented to draw good energy from the North. Here, ocean views soothe to the right while mountains views to the left, reminiscent of a reclining lady, inspire relaxation and comfort. Master Zhi Wang also notes that the home’s bonus room — reimagined as a stunning sport and entertainment lounge — enjoys a back veranda oriented to offer protection and a sense of security.

 

 

Harmonious Design Details

Throughout this three-bedroom home’s spacious, light-filled living areas, sphere-shaped furnishings pair with angular, square design elements to achieve balance between flexibility and structure within the home — an indicator of good feng shui. This design concept extends to the primary bath, where Master Zhi Wang points out that the oval, Waterworks® freestanding soaking tub perfectly balances the rectangular-shaped shower, bringing a healthy flow of Chi into the space.

 

 

Well-Balanced Interior Elements

Master Zhi Wang’s Feng Shui reading also addressed design elements that provide balance based on color or pattern. For example, along the first floor hallway to the guest bedroom, beautifully displayed artworks present the perfect balance between water elements as well as dark and light elements that provide a sense of harmony within the home.
