Last week on The Golden Life, we took viewers for a spin along the iconic Sunset Boulevard. This week, we introduced our newest episode, “Pacific Coast Highway.” The new episode invites viewers to join SVP of Sales & Marketing Bree Long for an oceanside cruise along L.A.’s famed PCH and its many celebrated destinations, from Will Rogers State Beach to Malibu Country Mart.

 

 

From One Coast, a left turn on Pacific Coast Highway leads south to the endless attractions awaiting in Santa Monica, Venice and beyond, including various social clubs from the Jonathan Club to the Bel-Air Bay Club. On this episode of The Golden Life, Bree takes viewers for a drive north towards Malibu, pointing out iconic destinations along the way — all detailed below. 

 

Gladstones 

Upon rolling out from One Coast’s 24-hour live guarded, gated entrance and turning right on PCH, Bree points out Gladstones restaurant — conveniently set just a stone’s throw from One Coast. A local landmark for over half a century, Gladstones offers decadent oceanfront dining featuring seafood, classic cocktails and unrivaled sunset views.

Will Rogers State Beach 

Next up, Bree cruises past Pacific Palisades’ Will Rogers State Beach, a beautiful stretch of pristine shores featuring volleyball courts and picnic tables as well as three miles of beach frontage ideal for biking, rollerblading or running.

 


The Getty Villa

Don’t blink, or you’ll miss The Getty Villa perfectly perched on the bluffside to the right as Bree drives onward towards Malibu. The Getty Villa houses permanent galleries and changing exhibitions, as well as four stunning gardens well worth touring.

 

 

Mastro’s Ocean Club

Just beyond The Getty Villa is Mastro’s Ocean Club on the left, an idyllic oceanfront restaurant for formal dining. Known for its sleek aesthetics and energetic atmosphere, Mastro’s Ocean Club is perfect for the steak- and seafood-lover alike.

 

 

Moonshadows

From Mastro’s Ocean Club, it takes five minutes to reach Moonshadows in Malibu — an iconic New American restaurant with sweeping ocean views, chic bar lounge and Tiki-themed patio. Moonshadows handcrafted cocktails and delicious eats are a must — plus, the oceanside drive to this spot is an extra treat. 

 

 

Duke’s Malibu

Next, Bree points out Duke’s Malibu. Named after surfing legend and Hollywood star Duke Kahanamoku, Duke’s is known for its delicious Hawaiian cuisine, captivating ocean views and live music.

Soho Little Beach House

Just down the road is Little Beach House Malibu, a social club beautifully designed by Montalba Architects and known for its chic California-inspired oasis. Think, delectable dining, dreamy sunset views and an array of amenities and event spaces.

Nobu Malibu

Nobu certainly needs no introduction. This famed Malibu location offers a special dining experience frequented by locals and visitors from around the world. From Iron Chef Matsuhisa Nobu, the glamourous sushi restaurant offers mouth watering Japanese fare and California-inspired bites — all set to stunning blue views of the Pacific.

 

 

Malibu Beach Inn

Just past Nobu awaits Malibu Beach Inn, a luxury oceanfront hotel overlooking expansive views of the Pacific. The beautiful hotel offers a spectacular setting to sit back with a cocktail and revel in gorgeous coastal views.

Malibu Pier

And just like that, Bree reaches the iconic Malibu Pier. A true Southern California landmark, Malibu Pier offers a charming destination to indulge in L.A.’s pristine weather, famed eats and sweeping views.

Malibu Village

Next stop, Malibu Village. This beautiful open-air retail center features an array of local boutiques and high-end shops to browse — from Sephora to Fred Segal — and celebrated restaurants to enjoy.

Malibu Country Mart

Bree ends her tour along the ever-iconic Pacific Coast Highway by picking up a coffee from The Malibu Country Mart, a gorgeous outdoor destination for shopping and dining.
