A Taste of Pacific Palisades Living: 6 Local Favorites

One Coast, perched high above where Sunset Boulevard meets Pacific Coast Highway, makes it easy to whisk off to L.A.’s most celebrated destinations whenever you please. Escape to Malibu for a sunrise surf, stop by Santa Monica for some retail therapy, or stay local to revel in all that Pacific Palisades has to offer — including a celebrated dining scene. Featuring a highly curated collection of fine restaurants, trendy cafes and casual eats, there’s something to satisfy every craving within minutes of One Coast. Below, find your new local spot.

1. Palisades Village

Set right in the heart of the Palisades, the charming, architecturally celebrated Palisades Village offers a contemporary outdoor shopping and dining destination with an array of celebrated restaurants. Here, start the day with an Alfred coffee and end the afternoon with something sweet — whether a treat from Sweet Laurel Bakery, See’s Candies or Mcconnell’s Fine Ice Creams. If you’re seeking a sit-down meal, a diverse selection of fine and casual options await — from Japanese fare at Blue Ribbon Sushi to seasonal dishes at The Draycott. Plus, between Sunlife Organics and Erewhon’s hot food bar and famous array of wellness tonics, it’s easy to fill up on your favorite superfoods.

3. Juicy Ladies

This list would be incomplete without our favorite local cafe, set just moments from One Coast. On the way to work, on your morning jog, as you walk your dog — Juicy Ladies is your staple spot for a nice caffeine fix,  fresh juice and smoothies or tasty vegan bites.

4. Inn of the Seventh Ray

The drive up to the Inn of the Seventh Ray is nothing short of magical. Tucked away among the Topanga woodlands, this rustic locale is a charming dinner spot that allows you to enjoy hearty Californian cuisine by candlelight. Unlike anything else in Los Angeles, this nearby restaurant offers inventive seasonal and holiday menus, granting a creekside culinary escape in the idyllic Santa Monica Mountains.

5. Casa Nostra

For classic Italian cuisine, look no further than Casa Nostra. Featuring two locations in Pacific Palisades including Casa Nostra at Highlands and Casa Nostra Trattoria on Sunset this local favorite offers a warm, cozy atmosphere complemented by flavorful traditional recipes using high quality, imported Italian products and fresh, local produce.

6 . Moonshadows

While technically located in Malibu, Moonshadows’ close proximity to One Coast set just 4.2 miles away makes it a go-to spot for residents. The New American restaurant offers sweeping ocean views, a chic bar lounge and Tiki-themed patio. Sit down for handcrafted cocktails at happy hour, or snag an oceanfront table for an idyllic sunset dinner.
